Day 12: Flavors of the Pelješac Peninsula
I loved our time on Korčula, but alas all good things must come to an end, so we packed our bags and boarded a ferry back to the mainland. Today, we explored the Pelješac Peninsula en route to Dubrovnik.
Our first stop of the day was the Antunović family farm, where we met the family's donkeys! They were adorable, and I took the opportunity to take more than a few pictures with them :)
For lunch, we went to Konoba Antunović, the Antunović family's restaurant. They served us a heaping of home-grown favorites: cherry brandy to start, cold cuts and cheeses, and lamb, potatoes, and cabbage slaw. I loved the rustic interior and their big open-air stove.

Destination: Dubrovnik!
After lunch, we were off to Dubrovnik! On the way, we made a brief stop in Ston, which is home to the Walls of Ston, a series of defensive walls that were constructed beginning in 1358 (see the sidebar at left for a photo!)
In the early evening, we arrived in Dubrovnik, our last stop of the tour (time flies!) After checking in, we met up with the group for a brief orientation to Dubrovnik: Sašo showed us how to use the local bus to get from our hotel to Old Town, and then we took a short orientation walk through Old Town before being set loose for the evening!
