Day 11: Island Relaxation in Korčula
After ten very full days in the Adriatic, it was a lovely change of pace to have a completely free day on the island of Korčula. We slept in, had a leisurely breakfast, and then set out for a casual meander around town. Korčula is very charming; I was quite taken with all the flowers and the bursts of fall foliage!
We spent most of our time in Korčula's Old Town, poking into shops and peeking down the cute little side streets. We also spent time strolling along the water, which was crystal-clear and beautiful!

For lunch, we went to Konoba Melaina, which had very good reviews but, more importantly, wonderful seaside views. I couldn't resist ordering a spritz; it was a free day, so cocktails were perfectly appropriate with lunch too! ;)
After lunch, we stocked up on a few snacks to bring to our evening harbor cruise, and then we continued our day of relaxation by ... relaxing more at our hotel. It was gloriously low key, and I loved it.
Sunset Cruising
In the evening, Sašo organized an optional harbor cruise for anyone interested. We all brought snacks and drinks to share, and then headed out to sea as the sun was setting. It was really lovely out there on the water!

We ended our day with dinner back at our hotel with some of our fellow tour members, Sholeh, Afsaneh, and Doreen.
We enjoyed good food (I got the octopus and loved it), drank a lot of wine, and laughed a lot.
All in all, it was a lovely way to end our day of island relaxation in Korčula!
